Bachelor of Music - Toronto - ARCT Violin. Diploma in Composition - Mozarteum, Salzburg. Principal second violin - Okanagan Symphony Orchestra. Conducts Youth Symphony of the Okanagan and AURA Chamber Choir. His compositions are recognized and performed around the world. Imant had his conducting debut at Carnegie Hall in March 2006. VCMS faculty member since 1977.
